Casta worked closely with Presidential Homes throughout this project to meet their requirements for this 8000m2 warehouse slab and 6500m2 external pavement. Presidential Homes specialise in high-quality transportable homes and had outgrown their current Palmerston North facility, were looking a for a high performing slab that would require minimal maintenance and long term efficiencies.

The internal slab design was a fibre seamless floor (no sawcuts, joints every 30m approx.) so it required a joint that could handle the larger shrinkage tendency, protect MHE tyre, and provide heavy duty protection. The WaveForce Coverplate Joint was perfect for this project as it provides maximum protection to the joint (concrete edge/arris) while providing substantial MHE (material handling equipment) protection and noise reduction with the unique disruptive face technology.

The external pavement utilised our K-From Joints and 10mm tuff-Dowel Plates which allowed them to pour large sections of concrete at a time and ensured effective load transfer at the control joints.

We also supplied our Castacure 100 curing agent, custom Column Isolators, & 4010  StripJoint systems in a complete package for the client.
